IN A BIG blow to Indian democracy, the Kumaraswamy government crumbled, tumbled and was humbled in Karnakata during a trust vote. The coalition government received 99 votes to BJP’s 105 votes.
It was a shameful and shocking day for India’s democracy as the MLAs, who were allegedly paid Rs 30-40 crores voted for the opposition’s no trust vote. It is once clear that MLAs can be easily bought over. People should never vote for such MLAs. They become MLAs only for money. Hope people in Karnataka will teach a lesson to such represenatives, so reacted several citizens across the country.
Though such a ridiculous episode has happened in Karnataka, it should never happen in Chhatrapati Shivaji’s Maharashtra, feel citizens in Maharashtra and even political leaders from Congress, NCP, MNS and Vanchit Bahujan Agadhi feel the same. No MLA in Maharashtra should behave the way MLAs in Karnataka behave. MLAs and MPs from Maharashtra should always stand up for our country’s democracy
