Led by national newspaper The Indian Express, some of the regional papers have appropriately covered the martyrdom of our jawans. The Indian Express headline, which is as bigger as it could be, strikes the reader the moment he takes it  in his hands.
Nations leading daily, The Times Of India does not carry the figure of the dead in the headline which looks like it is shivering. But the Times of India has carried a number of stories on the issue which no paper has done. The headline in the Times of India has drawn flak from readers.

The Hindustan Times has carried the headline in all caps, but not across the page . The Hindu has carried smaller size headline and so has the headline master, Telegraph.
The Pune Mirror has carried the story of a bird sanctuary on the front page.
Marathi newspapers like Saamna, Punyanagari, Prabhat have given appropriate coverage on the front page.
Lokmat has carried its mast in black, probably it paid tribute to our soldiers in its own way.
