Actor Nana Patekar today broke into a long smile and breathed easy as the Mumbai police said there was no evidence to the molestation charge levelled by actress Tanushree Dutta.
The Mumbai police has filed B summary report with court on Wednesday which means they want to close the case.
Patekar’s glorious cine life had come to a screeching halt after Tanushree levelled the allegations. She had alleged that she was touched inappropriately by Patekar during shooting of a dance sequence. Patekar had gone underground and was in a state of shock for more than six months.
The case is the first one from #MeToo Movement to collapse. Many believe it will be a big blow to Dutta.
