Bangalore: Prof. Biman Bagchi, Honorary Professor at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, has been selected as the 2021 recipient of the Joel Henry Hildebrand Award in the Theoretical and Experimental Chemistry of Liquids sponsored by ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Co.
In this regard, Prof. Bagchi received a confirmation email from Ms. Felicia Foxworth Dixon, Senior Manager, at American Chemical Society, Washington, DC
The award will be presented to him at the society’s spring 2021 National Meeting & Expo in San Antonio, TX on Tuesday, March 23, 2021.
A formal announcement of the names of the 2021 ACS National Award Recipients will be made in an August issue of Chemical & Engineering News (C&EN), usually the week of the ACS Fall National Meeting & Expo. It will also be announced in C & En News, and in ACS Twitter handle.

This is very prestigious award in the area of liquids and glasses. After a long time an Indian has got this award. Many of Prof. Biman Bagchi, like Prof. Bob Zwanzig, Prof. Casey Hynes, Prof. Hans Andersen received this prestigious award earlier.
