Executive Director of Bannerghatta Biological Park says,”Bannerghatta National Park is happy to announce that elephant named “Roopa” aged 12 years gave birth to her 2nd male calf on 01-08-2020 in the early morning.”
She gave birth to first female calf (Gowri) on December 21, 2016 at the age of 8 years. Both mother and calf are healthy and doing well. With the addition of this calf, the present elephant population is 24 at Bannerghatta Biological Park, Bangalore.
