Pune, July 21 : The third International Webinar on Nursing 2021 – Career and Fair “Go Far & Beyond the Dreams” was organized by Symbiosis College of Nursing (SCON) recently in an outlook to provide awareness on career opportunities available for nurses across the globe.
Dr. T. Dileep Kumar, President Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi was invited as the Chief Guest for the function.
During his speech Dr. T. Dileep Kumar made the nurses aware about the opportunities available Internationally, Nationally, State level and local level like -Military Nursing services, Various cadres at central government organizations, Cadres in corporate hospital and organizations, Various new post available under National Health Mission(MLHP), Internationally opportunity to work in reputed organizations like WHO, UNICEF for all the nursing fraternities. Also rendered the importance of Nurse practitioner course available for the nurses that can help them to draw high salary and Job satisfaction in their Nursing Practice.
He stated that, there is an open opportunity for various nursing institutes in India and guided Symbiosis College of Nursing to approach INC to enter into MOU for launching of “Nurse Practitioner Program” at SCON. The World Health Assembly is also moving forward to strengthen the direction of Nurse and Midwifery practices. The Revised Nursing Syllabus for B.Sc Nursing was inculcated with the international standards and requirements. He concluded by giving his Best wishes to novice nurses for their future endeavors.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Rajiv Yeravdekar, Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences, Symbiosis International University stressed the importance of imparting skill and competency based training to nurses to ensure an outcome based education. This would ensure globally competent nurses. He reiterated the importance of the Global Nursing program currently being imparted by SCON.
