Natanam Institute of Dance Presents Tyagaraja Aradhane by Acharya Smt. Dr Raksha Karthik and her Disciples

Tyagaraja is the greatest musical progenies of all time. He composed his first song when he was hardly 13. Natanam institute of dance will present many of his compositions through their dance recital on the occasion of Tyagaraja Aradhane from his first Krithi Namo Namo Raghavaya Anisham by the young disciples to the Pancharathna Krithis and many more like Vinayakuni Valenu, Varashikhi Vahana, Shambo Mahadeva. Acharya Smt. Dr Raksha Karthik will present a solo production on tyagaraja’s life story woven through his compositions on Saturday 14th January 2023 from 05:30 PM to 09.00 PM at Nayana Auditorium, Bengaluru. The entry is free for all.

 

She starts with the revered Shobillu S aptaswara followed by Vandanamu Raghunandana and his offering of music to Lord Rama followed by Tyagaraja performing Uncha Vritti as his daily ritual and ridiculed by his brother and continuing with Yenduku Dayaraaduraa Sriramachandra. His compositions reach Raja Sharabhoji and the king offers him money and wealth and he refuses the same composing Nidhi Chala Sukhama which is followed by his brother throwing Ramas idol into the river and Tyagaraja pleading Rama to come back in Marugelara Oh Raghava. Tyagaraja then finds Rama and gets him back with the Krithi Kanukontini.
