Pune: SANJAY Raut, the one-man battlemachine of Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) has expressed confidence that INDIA alliance will remain in tact and will unitedly fight 2024 elections.
At his daily press conference in Mumbai, Sanjay Raut was at his best today as he scotched speculations that INDIA alliance was falling apart.
The speculations have been triggered after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said the Trinamool Congress will fight Lok Sabha elections on its own and not in alliance with the Congress.
Similarly, the Aam Aadmi Party also announced yesterday that it will fight all Lok Sabha elections in Punjab on its own and will not have any alliance with Congress, the key partner of INDIA alliance.
Raut said there is no problem if these two parties contest Lok Sabha elections in their respective states on their own strength. ”This does not mean that the INDIA alliance was falling apart. The INDIA alliance is in tact and will remain so,” he said.
Raut said the AAP and Trinamol Congress have the firepower to defeat BJP in the Lok Sabha elections in their own states. ”These parties however will not be contesting on their own. We, the INDIA, partners will campaign for them. Let them contest on their own. We are with them fully and completely,” he said.
