Pune:Three days ‘Honhaar Bharat 2024’ conference concluded on 10th February 2024 at DY Patil University Ambi,Pune.This was second year of Honhaar Bharat conference where 40 dignitaries from all walk of Life and around 1 thousand students participated.The Valedictory speech was given by Praveen Vukkalam, MD, Barclays talked about Good Governance and best practices in Banking sector.Prof. Dr. Sayalee Gankar, Vice Chancellor, DYPU and Col. Sunil Bhosale, Director-Strategy felicitated all the dignitaries for their presence and motivating the students.

Mumbai , Manoj Sonawala, CS, Chairman, Manoyog GRC Advisors Pvt Ltd. were participated in various sessions organized on 10th February 2024,
The journey continued on the third and final day of “Honhar Bharat 2.0” on 10th Feb. 2024. It started with a Welcome Address by Col. Sunil Bhosale, Director Strategy followed by Saraswati Poojan and Guru Vandana.
The Power Talk of the day was given by Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat, IPS, Telgana Cadre. He talked about Good Governance starts under the following CAMP model. Consultation of stakeholders, Adaptive procedure, Mobilization of Human Resource and Participatory approach. He also shared his experience of last 3 years about the control over Naxal movements in Andhra and Telangana and the surrender & Rehab of Naxlites. He mentioned about human trafficking and how more than 1000 women were rescued. He also discussed about the work done to educate children of migrant workers from Odisha.
The Panel discussion was on the topic “Good Governance in India: Challenges and Way Ahead”. Dr. Jayant Chandorkar talked about important of e-governance, online medication through proper channel and also effective use of e-consultancy. Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat spoke about proactive approach and pre-emptive actions that can improve Governance. He mentioned the concept of SMART governance – Simple Moral, Accountable, Responsible and Transparent. Suggested students to do right things and take ownership. He also discussed 5 C’s – Character, Courage, Courtesy, Conviction and Commitment. Mr. Shrikant Dhavale spoke about time bound projects and Accountability of work at hand, also talked about “Discipline” is when you do right things when nobody’s observing and suggested the audience to be smart citizens by doing ethically right things. Mr. Praveen Phutane said that policies should be business centric. He also mentioned that there should be inclusion of the people, entrepreneur, academic and society. Mr. Manoj Sonawala said that proper implementation of policies, without compliance and governance business won’t sustain. If guiding principles are robust then in the long run businesses or organizations will be sustainable. Dr. Sayalee Gankar made a special mention that control on self-behaviour rather than controlling others. Take ownership of your own action and behaviour.
