GM conducts inspection of Phaltan station

 General Manager Ram Kumar Yadav along with Ranjit Naik Nimbalkar,  MP, Madha, conducted a detailed inspection of Phaltan station and reviewed the work of development of Phaltan station and other related projects, stated a Central Railway press release.

In a subsequest press conference, Mr. Yadav discussed the current state of projects including speeding up of Lonand to Phaltan Trains, initiation of the long awaited Phaltan to Baramati section and Phaltan to Pandharpur new line.

The Section’s sanction is likely to be received in the next cabinet committee meeting after approval of NITI Aayog as the cost of the project is more than 2000 crores.

Earlier Mr. Yadav visited the location of construction of bridge across the Nira river where the plans were discussed at length.The bridge will be constructed with 7 spans girders which are presently being fabricated at Central Railway Workshop, Manmad and is expected to be ready in a year’s time. The contract for construction of the bridge has already been placed and agency finalised. Selected agency is preparing to move the machinery for initiation of the process of execution of the project.

The General Manager also had a detailed discussion with Mr.Nimbalkar, MP, before the inspection in which issues like future development of Phaltan station, speedier execution of Phaltan to Baramati line, and current status of the Phaltan – Pandharpur project were discussed.

Avanish Kumar Pandey, Chief Administrative Officer, Construction, Indu Rani Dubey, Divisional Railway Manager, Pune and Other Senior Officers from Headquarters and Pune Division were also present during the inspection.
