The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), under the leadership of Sharad Pawar, has vehemently denounced the “disrespectful” remarks made by BJP leader and Home Minister Amit Shah concerning Sharad Pawar.

In a media statement, Mahesh Tapase, Chief Spokesperson of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar), condemned Amit Shah’s comments as unfortunate and disrespectful.

Tapase underscored Pawar’s substantial contributions to nation-building, particularly his leadership in the agricultural revolution, in comparison with the current plight of farmers under the Modi administration.

Furthermore, Tapase highlighted Sharad Pawar’s proactive involvement in the relief & rehabilitation efforts in Gujarat following a catastrophic earthquake, emphasizing Pawar’s unwavering dedication to humanitarian causes.

Tapase raised questions about whether the Prime Minister and Home Minister, both originating from Gujarat, have overlooked Pawar’s pivotal assistance and role in the post-earthquake reconstruction of Gujarat.

Despite Gujarat’s and the Centre’s BJP-led government, Sharad Pawar, a non-BJP Marathi leader, stepped forward to aid and reconstruct Gujarat, reflecting Maharashtra’s cultural ethos of empathy and unity, epitomizing the true essence of responsible leadership.

Pawar’s praiseworthy endeavors in disaster management garnered recognition nationally and internationally, with former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee publicly acknowledging his steadfast commitment to humanity.

Tapase concluded by expressing dismay at the Home Minister’s apparent ignorance of Pawar’s significant contributions.
