The firm Lal PathLabs Foundation has been working constantly towards lending their support to Government, at the time of COVID pandemic outbreak. Two TruNAT testing machines worth Rs 15 lakh was donated to the State Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Jawaid Akhtar at his office.
On Wednesday, In support to the Karnataka Health Department on COVID relief related various activities Lal PathLabs Foundation and Mantra4Change donated 2 TruNAT testing machines to the Karnataka Health Department.
The firm intiated the donation to Additional Chief Secretary , Health Department, Jawaid Akhtar in order to support the efforts of Government of Karnataka. Also, to increase in testing and thereby containing the spread of COVID-19.
Lal PathLabs Foundation in association with Mantra4change, a Not-for-profit organisation are working in the area of Education. Also, currently working closely with Karnataka State Health Department.
Speaking to media, The Chief Operating Officer, Dr Lalpath Labs, Sankha Banerjee saod, “To fight against COVID 19 pandemic, LPL Foundation supported the Central Government by donating a good amount (Rs. 1 Cr) to the PM CARES Fund and various State Governments i.e. Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Haryana and Karnataka by working closely with state and local Government officials.”
“And by contributing some testing tools or other requirements as per Government’s suggestion and guidance through its CSR work. Currently we are joining hands with Mantra to support the Health Ministry to scale its testing by providing 2 Tru NAT testing equipment,” said Banerjee.
“Through our network of volunteers, we have been so far able to support around 20,000 people with food, 5000 plus families with ration kits. Also 14 primary Health centers, 9 COVID-19 designated hospitals and ICMR – Belgaum have been provided with critical medical equipment and consumables. I am happy to be a part of this initiative of Mantra4change and Dr Lalpath labs,” says Puneeth, Volunteer – Mantra4change.
The Director of Mantra4Change, Santosh Kumar More said, “Mantra is a not-for-profit that has been working in the space of Education. Our work on preventive health care has become more active during the COVID crisis and through our network of volunteers, we are able to support many Hospitals, Primary Health centers and BBMP War rooms.”
He added, We have been working closely with the health Ministry since the initial days of the Pandemic and we are very happy to Partner with Dr Lalpath labs foundation to support the Government of Karnataka.
