Pune, 12th January: On 5th January,Rotary Club Of Nigdi-Pune has given Peace Building Award to Florina Xavier and Ashok Xavier.
The couple are working with Refugees in Srilanka, Afghanistan and India. They not only provided vital support to the refugees but also have been instrumental in fostering a sense of hope and resilience in the community.
The Award was given with the hands of Rotary International Director (Finland Dist 1400) PDG.Rtn.Virpi Honkala, PDG Rtn. Matti Honkala, Rotary District 3131 Peace Director Rtn. Dr.Prashant Khankhoje along with
Rotary Club Of Nigdi-Pune President Rtn. Harbindar Singh, First Lady Rtn. Kamaljeet Kaur, Vocational Chairman Rtn. Gautam Doshi, Rtn. Rakesh Singhania and Rtn.Jagmohan Bhurji.
The entire Club members witness this Grand Award Ceremony.
Rotractors and Non Rotarians were invited too for the Award Ceremony.
Florina Xavier enriched the members with an open discussion on the critical issues and spreading Peace awareness among the masses.
Rotary District 1400 PDG Rtn.Virpi expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the members and her strong bonding with Rotary Club Of Nigdi-Pune where in she was involved in various projects as Foreign Partner.
