Pune: BIHAR Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who is known as the Paltu Ram of Bihar politics, has done it again which is quite adept at. He has rushed into the arms of BJP after dumping the RJD which whom his party had an alliance and a government in Bihar.
Announcing his severing of ties with RJD in Patna today, Nitish Kumar said,”It was becoming increasingly difficult to work with RJD in Bihar. And that is why I am resigning as chief minister.”
At the same time, Nitish also revealed that INDIA bloc was not working and there were issues within it.
Nitish Kumar has 45 MLAs and BJP has 78 MLAs. Along with independents, they have the majority in Bihar House.
In past three-four days, BJP and RJD have been holding hectic parlyes for government formation.
Nitish Kumar was unhappy with RJD as Lalu Prasad Yadav was pushing for chief ministership for his son, Tejaswi Yadav, who is currently the Deputy Chief Minister.
The Congress has reacted strongly to Nitish Kumar’s exit. Congress spokespers Jairam Ramesh said Nitish Kumar is quite an experienced politicians who is known for changing his colour like the chameleon.
The return of Nitish Kumar to BJP fold has given the party new enthusiasm and new ammunition for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections. Bihar has 40 Lok Sabha seats. BJP and JD (U) hopes to win more than 35 seats.
