Pune: LOVE affairs in Pune, like other parts of the city, are going to toss and leading to loss of lives. In a latest incident, a 26 year old woman was killed, allegedly by her own close friend in a hotel in Hinjawadi IT park area of Pune.
The incident came to light today. The Pune police said the victim worked with INFOSYS, an IT major, in Hinjawadi area. She has been identified as Vandana Dwivedi. She was found dead in a hotel room. She suffered from gunshot wounds, the police said.
The police said she had checked into the hotel room on Saturday evening. And was found dead on Sunday morning. ”It seems that the man shot at her after a quarrel,” police sources said.
The suspect who allegedly killed the woman has been identified as Risabh Nigam. After the incident, he had fled the hotel room and hotel premises. The police launched a hunt for him. He was detained in Mumbai.
This is not the first case of a love affair going for a toss in Pune. There have been several incidents in last few years. In most cases, it is the woman or girls who are getting killed.
