Pune: SVP India’s Pune Chapter organized Pitch Perfect, a scintillating evening of giving with noted philanthropists, Foundations and Corporates from the city. The evening was a testament to the unwavering power of compassion, which united over a 100 people for one cause, that of supporting social good.

SVP, coached 8 Pune based non-profits over two months and provided them with a platform to present their compelling stories in a 5-minute pitch that communicates who they are, what they do, why they do it, and the impact a donor’s support can make.

The presenting NGOs were Prayatna for People with Special Needs, Dnyanada Institute of Flow Piping Technology (DIPT), Eklavya India Foundation, Tapasya Pratishthan, Agro Rangers Trust, Samata Centre (Action for Impact Foundation), Anubhuti Social Empowerment and Educational Foundation, and Blue Cross Society Pune. They work in areas of skill development, women empowerment, higher education, animal protection and differently- abled individuals.

The evening saw the generous community of Pune come together and commit a sum of over 2.35 crores in support of the presenting non-profits. The amount is significant and will help the non-profit founders make a notable difference to the communities they support.

Rachna Rathi, Chair, SVP Pune Chapter said, “it was extremely humbling to see the work of the non-profits and the hard work that they had put in over two months. The evening personified greatness in every way. So many people from across the city came together selflessly for a common cause and donated beyond imagination. Truly, Pitch Perfect was something magical.”.

Govind Iyer, Chair, SVP India said, “SVP is a unique global institution focussing on creating impact through ‘engaged philanthropy’. Creating engaged philanthropists who understand the NGOs and support and scale their work is at the very core of SVP. Pitch Perfect is one such initiative where we are looking at supporting the NGOs through building their capacities that can accelerate their growth.”
