Pune: AN under construction building which had tilted to the front side was demolished by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation in Wakad-Thergaon area which is under its jurisdiction.
After picture of the tilting building went viral last evening in Pimpri-Chinchwad, it generated lot of attention. The fire brigade officials had immediately landed on the spot last evening itself and had secured the place.
The PCMC officials following a meeting and after speaking to the builder this morning decided to flatten the building. As a result, by afternoon the three-floor building came crashing and its video went viral soon after.
The PCMC administration said the building seemed dangerous and there was fault in its design and construction. And therefore to ensure safety of people, it was demolished.
Local residents said they had complained to the PCMC about it but PCMC failed to take any action.

The building was being constructed for residential purpose by the private building.
There was lot of questions being raised as to whether the PCMC had inspected the building when it was being constructed. The PCMC administration said the builder had taken permission before constructing the three floor structure.
