Pune: The Aam Aadmi Party has alleged that BJP has hatched a plan to arrest Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

“Over the last two days, we are hearing that the INDIA alliance talks between AAP and Congress are reaching a successful conclusion. It is expected that a seat-sharing arrangement will be announced soon in multiple states. For the past few months, when it was unclear whether the talks would be successful or not, BJP was happy. But as soon as this news came out of seat-sharing reaching conclusion, a shock wave has gone through the BJP (BJP mein hadkamp mach gayi hai). Now the BJP has hatched a mega-plan (maha-shadyantra) to break the alliance,” AAP claimed at a press conference in Pune.

“Since yesterday, senior AAP leaders are getting messages through many people that if AAP does not leave the INDIA alliance, Modiji will arrest Arvind Kejriwal through the CBI. We all know that for the past two years, Modiji has unleashed the ED and the CBI on AK for investigating the fake Delhi liquor scam. In the last two years, over 1000 raids have been done, 7 summons have been sent by ED, many notices have been sent by CBI, AK has been questioned for 9 hours by the CBI, but both CBI and ED couldn’t find a single penny or piece of solid evidence.

But now that the INDIA alliance talks are concluding, Modiji fears he will lose the 2024 lok sabha elections. What we have been told is that very soon – in 1 or 2 days – CBI is going to issue a notice under Section 41A of CrPC and soon after that, in another 1 or 2 days – both CBI and ED will arrest AK. What we have also been told is that if AAP leaves the INDIA alliance, CBI will not send a notice or arrest AK. But AAP is not a party that fears Modi ji or any of its agencies – be it CBI or ED. AAP will continue fighting for the people of this country. AAP will continue to be part of the INDIA alliance no matter what the cost, said Mukund Kirdat, spokesperson, AAP Maharashtra.

Sudarshan Jagdale, Head, Aap Pune, Satish Yadav, Akshay Shinde, Amol More, Niranjan Adagale, Kiran Kadre, Amol Kale were present during press conference.
