Maha Govt Sets Up SIT against Jarange remarks against Fadnavis

THE Mahararashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar today directing setting up of a Special Investigation Team to probe the angry remarks of Manoj Jarange-Patil, who is spearheading the Maratha community’s agitation for reservation through OBC cagetory, against Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, better known as the Chanakya of BJP in Maharashtra.

The directions of Mr Narwekar came after BJP leader and MLA Ashish Shelar raised the issue in the State Assembly this morning. Mr Shelar alleged that someone was behind Mr Jarange-Patil whose statements had the potention to create violence and unrest in Maharashtra. ”Though we support Mr Jarange’s demands, we will not tolerate any language which will create unrest among the people of Maharashtra,” he said.

Jarange-Patil says let there be a probe

While the State Government announced the setting up of a SIT to probe his statements, activist Manoj Jarange-Patil remained unrepentant. ”Let there be a probe…But it should be as per the constitution and should be impartial..I will provide more proof on the allegations I have made,” he said.

Mr Raut predicts Ms Sule’s victory from Baramati seat

Shiv Sena MP and chief spokesperson Sanjay Raut has predicted an outright victory for Supriya Sule from Baramati Lok Sabha seat.

Speaking to a newspaper, Mr Raut said Sunetra Pawar will be defeated by Ms Sule by close to a margin of 2 lakh votes.

Mr Raut said Ms Sule will win because of her own work and the rapport with Baramatikars that her father has for over 60 years.

Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said the Pune Police has teamed up with the CBI and called for issuing a Red Corner notice for arresting the primary suspect Sandeep Dhunia, a resident of Patna.
